Her birth took place in the village of Chortitz.

Aganetha spent the first part of her life growing up in Schanzenfeld.

She attended Schanzenfeld School and at the age of 16 went to work at Dresler Headwear.

Aganetha met John Giesbrecht in the early 1960’s.

On June 17th, 1962 she was Baptized by Bishop John Friesen and welcomed as a member to the Sommerfeld Mennonite Church.

On May 12th, 1963 Aganetha and John became husband and wife.

Thereafter they started their new life together in Winnipeg.

In 1968 they had purchased their first home in Transcona.

Their journey seen them become parents to four children;

Wes, Bryan Wendy & Anita

Once their children became of school age, Aganetha found gainful employment outside of her home at Park Manor Personal Care Home in 1978.

In 1984 they had sold and built a new home still residing in the Transcona area.

In 2017 they sold their home and moved to Altona.

In August of 2021 John, her beloved husband of 58 years passed away.

Shortly thereafter in January 2022 she moved back to Winnipeg.

On January 26th, 2023 Aganetha made her way back home to be with our Lord.
