Sara Friesen

Sara Friesen, age 74 years of Winkler, Manitoba formerly of Mexico, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at her residence.

She is survived by her husband Johan Friesen, their children, Pete (Sara) Friesen, Helena (Cornie) Neustaeter, Judith (Dave) Abrams, Jacob (Tina) Friesen, Maria (Johan) Doerksen, and Willie Friesen (Nicole Rothenberger), as well as 23 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.  She is also survived by 2 sisters.  She was predeceased by her parents Heinrich and Helena Voth, 2 brothers, 3 sisters, 2 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Altona Sommerfeld Mennonite Church with burial at the Schoenthal Cemetery.  Viewing will be held at Wiebe Funeral Home Altona on Thursday, September 7, 2017 from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm, Friday, September 8, 2017 from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, and at the church prior to the service.
