Rodney Funk

With great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Sylvanus “Rodney” Funk at the age of 82 on Monday, July 7, 2025 at the Boundary Trails Health Centre.

He was predeceased by his parents William F. and Helena (Thiessen) Funk.

Rod is survived by his loving wife Charlene Funk of Horndean – Rosenheim, his sister Judith Klassen of Winkler and his brother Barry (Kath) Funk of Errington, BC. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Iris Stapleton, and brother-in-law James (Laura-Lynn) Stapleton, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the South Park MB Church, Altona with burial at the Rosenheim Cemetery. Viewing will be at Wiebe Funeral Home Altona on Sunday, July 13 from 1:00 – 9:00 p.m. and at the church prior to the service.
