Julie Buhr

Julie Colleen Buhr, 65, of Altona, passed away peacefully at the Altona Hospital on November 29th after a short and bravely fought battle with cancer. Julie was born to Edward and Eva Buhr on April 18th 1955 in Altona.

After living and working in Emerson for many years Julie retired to Altona in 2016 to spend more time with her children and grandchildren, she loved her apartment in gardens on tenth, and having the ability to use the walking paths to go exploring and bike riding with her granddaughter. In the last few years Julie took a position with CARE, she spend time visiting people in the hospital and care home, often escorting seniors to the programs at Eastview, as well as providing rides to medical appointments and to help seniors run errands.

Julie was predeceased by both her parents, 1 sister and 1 brother. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Joel Pappel, Holly Pappel (Kevin Ginter) and Daniel Pappel (Daina stoesz), her grandchildren Isaiah, Tristan, Ethan and Finley, 4 sisters, 5 brothers and their families, along with many friends.

Mom was laid to rest beside her parents and sister in the Edenburg cemetery on December 4, under a brilliant blue sky and unusually warm temperatures.
