Herman Hildebrand

Herman Hildebrand, age 88 years of Altona, formerly of Halbstadt, Manitoba passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at the Altona Memorial Health Centre.

He is survived by his wife Lena (nee Buhler), their children Susan (Andrew) Strome, Cathy (Dave) Fehr, Ed (Norma) Hildebrand, Elizabeth (Roy) Penner, Jim (Melanie) Hildebrand, Esther (Paul) Plett, Maryanne Hildebrand, and Tom (Brigitte) Hildebrand, as well as 21 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 4 sisters and 1 brother.  He was predeceased by 1 grandson, and 3 brothers.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Altona Sommerfeld Mennonite Church with burial at the Blumenthal Cemetery.  Viewing will be at Wiebe Funeral Home Altona on Thursday, August 20 from 1:00 - 9:00 p.m., Friday, August 21 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.  and at the church prior to the service.
