It is with sadness that we, the family, announce the peaceful passing of Erdman (Ed) Hildebrand of Altona, MB (formerly of Gretna) in the early hours of Wednesday February 1, 2023 at Boundary Trails Health Centre at the age of 93.

Dad was predeceased by his loving wife, Susan, one son in infancy, four sisters and six brothers.

Left to treasure his memory are his children Jolane (Harv) Klippenstein, Reg (Linda) Hildebrand, Glenn Hildebrand, Norm (Michele) Hildebrand, and Stan (Cindy) Hildebrand. His grandchildren Corrie (Larry), Rhoda (Matt), Gina (John), Corinna (Adam), Meagan (Chris), and Thomas. His great grandchildren Lisedi, Sylvie, and Bexley. Dad is also survived by his sister Anne (Abe) Peters and his sister-in-law Sara Hildebrand.

A celebration of Ed’s life will be held on Saturday February 18th at 2:00 p.m. at the Altona Bergthaler Church with burial at Altona Cemetery. Viewing will be at the church prior to the service.

Donations in memory of Ed may be made to MCC.

The family would like to thank the staff at The Gardens Apartments in Altona for the fantastic care given to Dad. We would also like to thank the staff at Altona Hospital and Boundary Trails Health Centre for the thorough and compassionate care Dad was given.
