Cathy Braun

Catherine Helen Braun (nee Dyck), 75, of Altona passed away Friday, January 9, 2026 in Ixtapa, Mexico. 

She is survived by her husband, Stuart; son Lincoln and family; daughter Laurel and family; six grandsons; two brothers and two sisters and their families; two brothers-in-law and their families; and her mother-in-law. She was predeceased by her parents, Clarence and Mary Dyck; a sister; her father-in-law; her stepfather-in-law; a brother-in-law; a sister-in-law and a niece. 

Cathy was born in Winkler. She was a teacher, beginning her career in Altona in 1970. She was active in the community, in golf (two holes-in-one), figure skating, curling and the church. After retirement she focused her crafting talents on Quiet Books and many other hand-crafted items, all with children's education in mind.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Altona United Church at 1:00 p.m. on March 21, 2026. Please dress casually wearing Christmas or Canada attire - jerseys included.
