Adeline Fillion

On Saturday May 7, 2016, at the Repos Jolys in St Pierre Jolys, Adeline left us suddenly and peacefully at the age of 91 years.  Adéline is survived by her spouse Marcel, her children Denis Fillion (Réjane), Gisèle Sabourin (Donald), Janine Wiebe (Neil), Michel Fillion (Rick), Adéline Sellwood (Rick). Adéline also leaves behind her grandchildren Daniel (Lynne Magne), Richard (Tiffany Hall) and Janelle Fillion; Stéphane (Tracy), Rémi (Alishia) Jacques and Joline Sabourin; Sean and Jennifer Braun, Amanda and Deanna (Mathew) Wiebe; James and Lynne Waldie, Lesley (Charles Goss), Jessica, and Paul Sellwood and Tristin Fontaine; Luda (Jeff Calder), Berlyn (Stéphan Bérard), Hadrian, and Leevon Wall and their mother Marilyn (Gérard's spouse). She also has 10 great grandchildren. She is also leaving two sisters, Léola Parent, and Célima Bruneau (Georges) who will miss her, as well as many brothers and sisters in-law. She was predeceased by two sons, Jacques (1971) and Gérard (2011), a grandson Dominic,  her father Hermas Grégoire, her mother Alphonsine Barnabé, one sister Berthe Goertzen, and a brother Alphonse Grégoire.

Adéline was married to a farmer from St Joseph, Marcel on October 17, 1951. Being on a farm there was no lack of things to do including cultivating 4-5 acres of raspberries. She loved flowers and had beautiful flower gardens. When they moved to the village of St Joseph in the year 2000, she did not waste any time to decorate her yard with her flowers, shrubs and fruit trees. But her passion was painting. She has left us many beautiful paintings. Even in the last weeks we could easily find her coloring either with crayons, pastels and the like. As she was no long able to paint, coloring became her next passion.  The hallways of the personal care home in Emerson were full of her artwork.

The family are very thankful to the personnel of the Chalet Malouin of St Malo, Emerson Personal Care Home, and Repos Jolys for the excellent care and friendships provided to our Adéline over the years. You have truly contributed to enrich her quality of life.
