Abram "Abe" Giesbrecht

Abram "Abe" Giesbrecht, age 91, of Winkler, formerly of Plum Coulee and Gnadenthal, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2026 at the Carmen Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his children Marge (John) Schapansky, Mary Martens, John (Deb) Giesbrecht, Tina Heide, Jake (Erna) Giesbrecht, Eva (Pete) Redekopp, Liesa (Pete) Fehr, Abe (Joyce) Giesbrecht and their families. He was predeceased by his wife Katherina in 2015.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 2, 2026 at Winkler Reinland Mennonite Church at 11:00 a.m with burial at the Gnadenthal Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Sunday, February 1, 2026 from 1:00 - 6:30 p.m. at Wiebe Funeral Homes Winkler and at the church prior to the service.
